Sustainability at Phenix Label

Good for the environment. Good for the community.

Sustainability at Phenix is not just a concept—it’s an active initiative woven into everything we do. From reducing waste to investing in renewable energy, we are committed to making a real, measurable impact on the planet while helping our customers enhance their own sustainability efforts.

99% Landfill-Free & Leading the Way in Waste Reduction

Each week, 18 tons of waste leave our production facility in Olathe, Kansas. Previously destined for a landfill, this waste is now converted into alternative solid fuel to power kilns at the Lafarge Cement Plant in Sugar Creek, Missouri. This sustainable fuel, combined with landfill methane gas, accounts for 40% of the energy used to run the plant’s kilns—eliminating the need for 1,000 truckloads of coal annually.
